HOW TO MAKE THE BEST BIG MAC BITES (BOMBS)

For the full recipe scroll down to the recipe card below, It will have all the exact measurements and detailed instructions on how to make these big mac bites.

Ingredients you’ll need:

All Purpose Flour – you can use self-rising if that’s what you have on hand

Non Fat Greek Yogurt – I like to use Fage, I’ve found that store-brand greek yogurt tends to be a little more watery than Fage

Extra Lean Ground Beef – I use either 96/4 or 93/7 when making these

Fat Free American Cheese slice

White Onion – Minced

Pickle Relish – You could also use pickle slices or dill pickle chips. You’ll need to finely chop them

Shredded iceberg lettuce – You can leave this out if you don’t have it, it doesn’t contribute a ton to the flavor

Sesame seeds – for topping

Secret sauce ingredients

A lot of people think thousand island dressing is the same as big mac sauce, it’s definitely not and once you try mine you’ll never go back!

Light mayo– This is where a ton of your calories get saved, because light mayo has a low fat ratio it’s much lower calorie than the regular stuff

French dressing – I like to use Kraft french dressing, just make sure the french dressing you buy is an orange / red color

Sweet pickle relish – you could use a pickle slice and blend it to all hell but that seems like a lot of work I’m not willing to do

White vinegar – this is needed for the consistency of the sauce, don’t try to leave it out.

Minced onion

Salt

How to make the best big mac bombs

Preheat your oven or air fryer to 375F. If cooking in an oven prepare a lined baking sheet with parchment paper.

First you’ll make the big mac sauce by combining all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix until combined.

Add flour to a mixing bowl with greek yogurt, using a spoon or fork mix together until a dough forms, the dough should not be overly sticky once it comes together. If it’s a little sticky use a pinch more flour but I’ve worked out the ratios so you shouldn’t need to.

In a large skillet cook your ground beef on medium-high heat until cooked through, place on a plate lined with paper towels.

Separate dough into 4 equal balls (each should weigh around 30-35g), flour a clean flat surface and roll out each dough ball into a flat circle. Do not roll too thin otherwise the dough will fall apart when closing. You can also use your hands to spread the dough, just make sure the center isn’t too thin.

Once dough is rolled out add 1/4th a piece of cheese to the center. Add ground beef, minced onion, pickle relish and big mac sauce top with a tiny amount of shredded lettuce.

Fold all sides of the dough over the top of the mixture and pinch to close together. These should look like little dumplings, make sure all gaps are fully closed so mixture does not leak out while cooking.

Place on a baking sheet or in your air fryer basket, lightly spray with cooking spray and top with sesame seeds.

Cook for 25 minutes in the oven or until golden, cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes.
