The combination of these ingredients and the crunch of the wrapper create a dish that’s both savory and satisfying.

Their unique blend of flavors and textures make them a crowd-pleasing snack that’s sure to satisfy any burger craving, especially at only 110 calories an egg roll.

Ingredients you’ll need to make the best big mac egg rolls

(full recipe, easy to follow instructions and ingredients list with measurements are in the recipe card below)

Lean ground beef – I used 96/4 because I had it on hand

1 tsp SPG seasoning – salt, pepper, garlic

8 egg roll wrappers -Do not use spring roll wrappers. I use the nasoya brand. You can find them in the produce / vegan section of most super markets!

4 slices of fat free American cheese: If you have regular cheese slices that’s fine too! To keep the calories lower split them into 4th’s instead of halves.

Minced white onion

Sweet pickle relish – I use pickle relish because I’m lazy, you can cut up dill pickles and use the same amount if you want!

Shredded lettuce

A small bowl with water – like itsy bitsy amount of water, it’s just to seal the edges of the egg roll wrappers.

FOR THE SAUCE

Light mayo

French dressing – Get creamy french, not thousand island. It makes a difference! If you can find light french awesome! If not regular creamy french is fine!

Sweet pickle relish

White vinegar

Minced onion

Salt

DIRECTIONS

Combine ground beef with SPG seasoning

In a large skillet over medium heat cook beef until browned. transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

place egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, in the center of the roll add half a slice of cheese, 1 1/2 tablespoons of hamburger mixture, white onion, sweet pickle relish and shredded lettuce.

Follow photo instructions below on how to fold the egg rolls, make sure all sides of the egg roll wrapper is closed so you don’t have leaks. You’re going to use the water on the edge of the egg roll wrapper to keep it closed.

Add egg rolls to air fryer basket and lightly spray with cooking spray. Cook for 4 minutes on each side at 400F.

FOR THE SAUCE:

In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients. Sauce will stay in the fridge in an airtight container for a week.

I don’t own an air fryer. What can I do?

Fear not! These can be made a few different ways! If you do not have an air fryer you can bake these in the oven instead. Place egg rolls on a sheet pan and bake for 7-10 minutes each side at 400F. If the egg roll wrappers aren’t crispy yet leave them in for an additional 2-3 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer yet I suggest getting one. Airfrying has become my favorite way of cooking most meals.

Can I deep fry big mac egg rolls?

Yes. Unfortunately if you decide to fry egg rolls you’ll be significantly increasing the calories. To deep fry you’ll heat about an inch of oil in a medium skillet (I find canola oil is best for frying). Once you heat oil you’ll slowly add in egg rolls. Turn occasionally and make sure all sides of each egg roll gets cooked in the oil. These will deep fry in 2-3 minutes, remove once the outside is golden brown. Deep frying your egg rolls will add hundreds of calories to each egg roll. I recommend sticking with air frying or baking.
